Illegal Aliens

The Honorable Tom Harkin

731 Hart Senate Office Building

Phone (202) 224 3254

Washington DC , 20510

Dear Senator Harkin,

As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.

Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.

Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as myprimary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.

Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as 'in-state' tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.

Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car.

0A

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance.

Your Loyal Constituent, (hoping to reach 'illegal alien' status rather than just a bonafide citizen of the USA )

Who needs guns to hunt?

I never understood why California doesn't allow deer hunting. It makes me miss the midwest dearly. Anyway, here's an example set by a Michigan cop of how to hunt without even using a gun...

Do you see Obama in this man's shoes?

http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?cl=9691913

The answer is NO. Obama is a great speaker, but as is apparent, he's simply pandering to the masses in a power grab. Hope and change, hope and change. He means well, but by taxing us to death, he will be Jimmy Carter's second term. McCain may only have 25 years of experience in spending the minimum possible in his state, and ensuring a well equipped military, but he's also been a proud POW and has a great desire to ensure his country hegemony lasts indefinitely. I'm for sure voting for Barry after watching that video...

Marriage of Environmentalism and Capitalism without red-headed bastard children

The green movement, whilst anchored in a solid desire to save mother-earth from its inevitable destruction (1 billion years from now), usually meddles in affairs best left alone. Usually in the form of destruction of capital and by preventing value-added products from being created. It often inflates the price of housing, gas, and many other every day items. However, sometimes... it can not only benefit the world, but it can benefit the aspiring and entrepreneurial. Case and point..

http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/industries/recyclebank-pays-homeowners-recycle/

Recycle Bank is exploiting the rising prices of commodities (mostly caused by environmentalists and a Republican gubm't sellin' money for a rate less than the price of inflation).

So these guys are actually, unlike mandatory recycling programs, sharing the % of recycling earnings with the citizens living in their geographic zone. I'd even recycle under these circumstances. All I have to do is get the old Chinese lady living next door to stop going through my garbage every Monday morning at 5 AM! Sweeeeet.

Let private industry handle everything... from trash collection to supplying power. Next topic... Power....

SF/NYC Housing Paradox

I've constantly argued that environmentalists and "preservationists" (usually landowners that love seeing artificially inflated home values) are the ones that create high prices in California and NYC. Of course, we all know that land is NOT limited (they're called high-rises see Chicago, Buenos Aires, Miami, etc) and that the high prices experienced here are entirely man-made in the form of draconian laws, punitive regulations, and disincentives toward development (thanks Chris Daly). But I'm not quite as eloquent as the man who wrote this article.. but what does he know? He's just an econ prof at Harvard. Why he's not a liberal elitist, I don't know... oh yeah. It's due to the fact that he's a professor of economics, and not political science/sociology/journalism/any other worthless area of study (with regards to land use policies).

Bottom line: Fuck set-asides for BMR's and "affordable housing" and just let the Chicago and Houston models reign supreme.

PS, I'm in favor of the Chicago model over Houston's über - efficient model. Land isn't as finite as the SF Chronicle leads the masses to believe, but in California, there are boundaries that are natural. Of course, there's also tons of "wetlands" that do not need protection and should be replaced with midrise development. Perhaps a discussion for another day.

Sarah Palin is Hawt

So, today we get the announcement that a budget-balancing, deficit-crushing, corruption/pork barrel murdering hottie as Veep.

Hm. Kinda hot. Anyway, no need to mention her lack of experience, she's voted on more issues as a governor than Barry Hussein ever contemplated as a Senator.

In January, 07, she started work to reduce the gen. fund spending in Alaska by $150 million; not small change in that state (the state with the 5th highest GDP in the country). She regularly puts the interests of her citizens above the interests of Oil and Gas companies whilst still encouraging them to drill the shiznit out of the great barren landscape of Alaska. ANWR, drill the shit out of it! Of course, since the proposed drilling area is only the size of LAX, no one, not even mating caribou, will ever notice the black oil being pumped out, further shrinking our account deficit.

Lifetime member of the NRA? I'm getting a chubby just thinking about her firing an M-16.

Best Video Ever

No time for a post today, but here's a great video.
